PLEASE NOTE! I am currently having a new mould made of this scarab so that the bail is a loop across its forelegs rather than a loop from its head, so the bail will be rotated 90 degrees. This will allow me to put a jump ring on it, which makes it more versatile for attaching to different necklaces. The scarab itself will be unchanged.

The scarab is an ancient symbol, mostly seen in Ancient Egypt in the form of an amulet or seal. The scarab held religious significance - it was associated with the movement of the sun, and thus associated with regeneration, growth, rebirth and the endless cycle of life. Each piece is cast in precious metal from a meticulously carved master, and is hand polished. Items will have some variation in their finish from the one pictured, making each one individual and retaining that handmade feel.

This charm is available in sterling silver, 14k gold-plated silver or solid 18k yellow gold and comes with a jump ring for you to attach to your charm bracelet or necklace.

Gold plated items are plated in 14k yellow gold over sterling silver. The plating will last fairly well - about a year - if the piece is not worn constantly or worn so that it rubs against other items of jewellery. It can be re-plated for a fee - please enquire by e-mail.

Care instructions: Do not allow your pendant or necklace to come into contact with perfumes or harsh chemicals.
